Explore its UNESCO-listed treasures, such as the iconic Pena Palace or Quinta da Regaleira, before continuing your scenic drive to the historic city of Coimbra. This stop offers a delightful balance of culture and beauty, making the trip even more enriching.

   • Distance: 30 km (19 mi)
   • Drive Time: 30–40 minutes
   • What to Do: Check out early from Lisbon and drive to Sintra to explore Pena Palace, Quinta da Regaleira, or Cabo da Roca, depending on your interests. Enjoy a local lunch before continuing your journey.

   Sintra to Coimbra

   • Distance: 210 km (130 mi)
   • Drive Time: 2.5 hours
   • Arrival: Reach Coimbra in the evening, settle in, and enjoy the charm of this historic city.
3. Day 3Coimbra

   Coimbra offers a perfect blend of history and relaxation, making it an ideal destination for a two-day winter thermal escape. Nestled in the heart of Portugal, it combines healing waters with charming sights, ensuring a soothing, rejuvenating experience.

   • Start your day with a visit to the University of Coimbra, the Joanina Library, and the Se Velha Cathedral.
   • Visit the Luso Thermal Baths or Curia Thermal Spa, where you can indulge in thermal treatments and soak in the healing waters. The Luso Thermal Baths and Curia Thermal Spa are both about 25-30 km from Coimbra, approximately a 25-30 minute drive each way.

4. Day 4Drive to Douro Valley
