On this 3-hour boat trip, you may encounter some of the 28 cetacean species found in Azorean waters, including whales and dolphins, as well as turtles, seabirds, and other marine life. Before departure, a marine biologist will brief you on the species, safety measures, and responsible observation practices.

Recommendations:

• Catamaran trips are advised for pregnant women, young children (under 8), babies, and those with reduced mobility.
• Bring comfortable clothes, shoes, a jacket, a hat, sunscreen, water, and snacks (none sold on board).

Hop on the tourist train and explore the beautiful cities of Porto and Gaia in a fun and easy way. With audio guides in five languages, you’ll get to know the history as you ride through the city centers. Your trip takes you to the oldest Port wine cellar, Real Companhia Velha, where you’ll watch a short film about Port wine, tour the cellar, and enjoy tasting two delicious Port wines. 

Then, jump back on the train to see some of Porto’s coolest sights before finishing your day with a relaxing 50-minute boat cruise on the Douro River. Sail under Porto’s famous six bridges and soak in amazing views of the historic city and the river meeting the sea. It’s a great way to see the best of Porto and Gaia all in one go!

Our evening begins with the haunting melodies of fado, accompanied by the instruments that have long been the faithful companions of this soulful music: the Portuguese guitar, with its six pairs of strings producing a sound both distinctive and mesmerizing, at once supporting and challenging the singer’s voice. As the lights dim and we sing by candlelight, we are transported back to times when, after the day’s toil, people found solace in the quiet of the night, allowing emotions to be shared in the stillness. Each fado is chosen at the moment, guided by the mood and emotion of the evening.
