1. Day 1 Sunday: Arrival in Porto

   

   Welcome to Porto! Relax and unwind from the moment you arrive. We'll handle your airport transfers on arrival and departure, ensuring your adventure's seamless start and finish.

   Suggestion for the day: Downtown Porto

   Start by exploring and walking around downtown Porto and get to know the city's unique highlights! The historic center of Porto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, boasts a rich tapestry of architectural styles reflecting its 2,000-year history. 

   Don’t Miss:

   • D. Luís I Bridge: This iconic double-decker bridge offers stunning panoramic views of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. Take a walk across the bridge for a unique perspective, or hop on a tram for a thrilling ride.

   • Ribeira District: Explore the heart of Porto's historic center. Wander through the charming Ribeira district, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its colorful houses, narrow streets, and lively atmosphere.

   • Livraria Lello: A haven for bookworms, this historic bookstore boasts a beautiful neo-gothic facade and a grand staircase said to have inspired J.K. Rowling. Be prepared for queues, though!

    Here are a few ideas:

   • Capela das Almas: This captivating 18th-century chapel is a visual feast, adorned with thousands of blue and white azulejo tiles depicting scenes from the lives of saints. 

   • Mercado do Bolhão: Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Porto's bustling Bolhão Market. Explore the stalls overflowing with fresh produce, local delicacies, and Portuguese crafts.

   • Jardins do Palácio de Cristal: Escape the urban buzz and find tranquility in these beautifully landscaped gardens. Explore the pavilions, wander through the serene walkways, and enjoy a moment of peace surrounded by nature.

   • Casa da Música: Witness a symphony of architecture at Casa da Música, a modern concert hall known for its unique and eye-catching design. Take a tour or catch a performance and experience the magic of music in this stunning setting.

   • Serralves Museum & Gardens: Go into the world of modern and contemporary art at this museum. Explore the impressive collection and don't miss the beautifully manicured gardens, a haven for art and nature enthusiasts alike.

   6 PM: Cruise Departure from Gaia Pier (Transfer from your hotel to the cruise is included)

   Board at 6:00 pm from Gaia Pier and enjoy a Welcome Cocktail as you settle in. Later, indulge in a delightful dinner on board.

3. Day 3 Tuesday: Régua & Lamego

   

   Discovering Régua & Lamego

   Your day begins with a delightful breakfast on board as the ship sets sail at 6:30 am towards Régua. Enjoy a special Culinary Delight presentation and tasting, offering a taste of local flavors, followed by lunch on board.

   At 1:00 pm, the ship arrives in Régua, where you'll join a guided tour of Lamego, including a tasting of regional delicacies. In the evening, savor a delicious dinner at a local Quinta, before returning to the ship for a peaceful overnight stay at the Régua pier.

4. Day 4 Wednesday: Pocinho & Castelo Rodrigo

   

   Exploring Pocinho & Castelo Rodrigo

   Start your day with breakfast on board as the ship departs at 7:00 am for Pocinho. Enjoy lunch on board before arriving at 2:00 pm. From there, explore the charming village of Castelo Rodrigo, with a tasting of local products.

   By 3:00 pm, the ship continues its journey to Barca D'Alva, arriving at 5:00 pm. In the evening, indulge in the Captain’s Dinner, followed by a special Vintage Port wine bottle opening ceremony. End your day with a peaceful overnight stay at the Barca D'Alva pier.

5. Day 5 Thursday: Entre-os-Rios

   

   Sailing to Entre-os-Rios: A Celebration of Portuguese Culture

   Today the ship sets sail towards Entre-os-Rios at 6:00 am, as you enjoy a leisurely breakfast on board. Later, immerse yourself in a special presentation, “Douro – River and Region,” followed by lunch on board.

   The ship arrives at Entre-os-Rios at 8:00 pm, where you'll experience a festive Portuguese Night-themed dinner, complete with a lively folklore music show. End the evening with an overnight stay at the Entre-os-Rios pier, surrounded by the region’s scenic beauty.

6. Day 6 Friday: Last Morning on the Douro River

   

   Final Morning on the Douro

   At 7:00 am, the ship begins its journey back to Gaia as you enjoy breakfast on board.

   Arriving at Gaia Pier by 11:00 am, you'll have time to take in the last views before check-out and disembarkation at 12:00 pm, marking the end of your unforgettable Douro River cruise.

   Spend this last night in Porto.

7. Day 7 Return Flight Home

   

   We've arranged your hotel transfer to ensure a smooth journey to the airport.

8. Day 8 Enjoy a Day of Tranquility at Sea

9. Day 9 Return to Funchal, Madeira Island

   

   7 AM: Disembark from your cruise at Funchal, Madeira with a heart full of unforgettable island memories. Capture your last glimpse of paradise before disembarking and cherishing your Canary Islands adventure.

   • Upon your arrival in Funchal, a transfer will be readily available to transport you to your designated hotel where you'll enjoy an additional night of accommodation.
   • We highly recommend taking some time to unwind and recharge upon arrival. 

    

10. Day 10 Return Flight Home

    

    Take the transfer to the airport.
