A 2-hour sailing trip on the Tagus at sunset, leaving from Doca do Bom Sucesso in Belém, in groups of up to 14 guests. You see the Belém Tower, the 25 de Abril Bridge and the city from the water as the light changes.

The tour lasts about 4 hours and covers about 2.3 km (1.4 mi) on foot, at a moderate pace, in groups of up to 12. It includes 18 or more tastings and local wines along the way, and is guided in English. Comfortable shoes are recommended.

The Fado dinner includes a starter, main course, dessert and coffee, with 2 drinks (wine, soft drink or water), in groups of up to 15. Vegetarian and other dietary needs can be accommodated with advance notice; let the Portugal Getaways team know when you book.

No. The 3 included experiences are shared with other travelers booked on the same date, which may include couples and families. Each one is social by nature: a boat, a walking tour and a dinner. Groups are small: up to 14 guests on the sailing tour, 12 on the foodie walk and 15 at the Fado dinner.

The included experiences are part of the package price, so skipping one is not refunded. If an experience is not the right fit, the Portugal Getaways team can suggest an alternative in advance.

Popular add-ons at an extra cost include the Pastéis de Nata Experience, a private Lisbon city tour, dinner at a Portuguese home, wine or beer tasting and a day trip to Fátima, Batalha, Nazaré and Óbidos. You can add them when you book, or tell the Portugal Getaways team what interests you.

On free days, central Lisbon is easy to walk, and the metro, trams, taxis and ride-sharing cover the rest of the city. No car is needed. The Portugal Getaways team can arrange day trips to Sintra, Fátima, Óbidos or the coast if you would like.

The hotels are chosen for their location, close to restaurants, bars and public transport such as the metro. Some are outside the historic center, so a short walk or metro ride may be needed. The exact property is confirmed at booking or shown when you click See Dates and Prices. Upgrades and budget options are available on request. The package price depends on the accommodation selected.

Lisbon works well most of the year thanks to its mild climate. Spring (March to May) is comfortable for walking, generally 15 to 21C (59 to 70F). Summer (June to August) is warmest and busiest, around 22 to 28C (72 to 82F). Autumn (September to October) stays mild, near 18 to 24C (64 to 75F), with fewer crowds. Winter (November to February) is cooler and wetter, typically 9 to 15C (48 to 59F), and the quietest time to visit.

Yes to all three. The Portugal Getaways team can add nights in Lisbon, include Porto or the Algarve, or adjust the itinerary. If you'd rather travel with a companion and share a room, contact the team and we'll requote the package without the single supplement.

Yes. Lisbon, like the rest of Portugal, is consistently ranked among the safest destinations in Europe, with no active conflicts and low rates of violent crime. US and Canadian passport holders do not currently need a visa for Portugal for stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date. ETIAS is not yet mandatory, when it becomes mandatory we will notify you in advance. Entry requirements and travel advisories can change, and it is the traveler's responsibility to confirm current requirements before departure.

The land portion of your package is refundable if cancelled at least 14 days before your travel date. Airfare is non-refundable from the moment it is issued.
