From 9 AM to 1 PM: Mini–Combo Half-Day Expedition (Jeep tour + Levada Walk)

• Get ready for a fun-filled family day! Hop on a Land Rover to explore Madeira’s beautiful Southeast Coast, with stops in Camacha — the island’s wicker town — and a few hidden gems along the way. Take it easy on a light 45-minute Levada Vale Paraíso walk, where you’ll wander past terraced fields, colorful gardens, and sweeping views over the village. The adventure wraps up in Machico, the very place where the Portuguese first set foot on Madeira.

From 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM or from 3 PM to 6 PM: Whale & Dolphin Watching Excursion (Catamaran)

• Madeira's beauty goes beyond stunning landscapes! Just offshore, deep ocean trenches create a haven for marine life. Sitting near the vast North Atlantic whale sanctuary, teeming with over 28 species, you're almost guaranteed to encounter dolphins or whales. Expect to see giants like Sperm Whales, Humpbacks, and Fins, or playful Bottlenose Dolphins and Spotted Dolphins. Madeira is even a sanctuary for the rarest seal in the world, the Monk Seal! Keep an eye out for Manta Rays, Sea Turtles, and unique seabirds too!

Suggestion for the day: Santana & Pico do Arieiro

• Start the day in Santana, where the traditional triangular thatched houses feel like something out of a fairy tale — perfect for curious kids and fun family photos. Stop by the handicraft shops for a peek at local creations before heading higher into the mountains. Continue to Pico do Arieiro, Madeira’s third-highest peak, where you’ll find breathtaking views above the clouds without needing a long hike. There are safe viewpoints and short, easy walks suitable for children. End the day back at your resort, with plenty of stories (and photos!) to share.

Suggestion for the day: Natural Pools & Beach 

• Head to the island’s north coast for a day of fun by the water. Start in Porto Moniz, where the volcanic natural pools are perfect for a safe and refreshing swim with the kids. The crystal-clear waters and dramatic coastal backdrop make it unforgettable. After lunch, continue to Seixal Beach, famous for its soft black sand — rare in Madeira — and gentle waves that children will love. It’s the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation before driving back to your hotel.
