This package includes your round-trip flights, your accommodation, and a rental car for the entire trip. We bundle these together so your transport is ready the moment you land, giving you the freedom to explore Sicily’s ancient ruins and coastal towns at your own pace without worrying about bus or train schedules.

Your car will be ready for collection at the airport as soon as you arrive. This allows you to drive straight to your hotel. The package typically includes a compact or economy vehicle, which is ideal for Sicily’s roads. When your holiday ends, you simply drop the car back at the airport before your flight home.

Driving is the best way to see Sicily, but you should be prepared for narrow, winding roads in historic hill towns. Motorways are well-maintained, but city driving in Palermo or Catania can be busy. We recommend using the car for exploring the countryside and parking in larger car parks on the outskirts of historic centres to avoid restricted traffic zones (ZTL).

Many hotels offer parking, but in historic town centres, it may be limited or require a small daily fee. We recommend checking the "Hotel Facilities" section during booking. If you are worried about parking in a specific city like Taormina, contact us and we can recommend hotels with the easiest access for drivers.

In Italy, local councils charge a "Stay Tax" (Tassa di Soggiorno) which is not included in your upfront price. This must be paid directly to the hotel in cash or by card at checkout. It usually costs between €1.50 and €5.00 per person, per night, depending on the hotel’s star rating and the city.

The best weather for exploring is during the spring (May–June) or autumn (September–October) when temperatures are a pleasant 22°C–26°C. July and August are very hot and busy, while the winter months are mild and quiet—perfect if you want to see the Valley of the Temples without the crowds.
