No. The resort sits next to the beach, and the Sagres Fortress and Cabo de São Vicente are a short taxi ride away. If you would like to explore the west coast on your own, a rental car can be delivered to the resort at an extra cost. Contact the Portugal Getaways team to arrange it.

The Sagres Fortress combines history and ocean views in an easy outing. Cabo de São Vicente, the southwestern tip of mainland Europe, is about 15 minutes away by car. The beaches and trails of the Costa Vicentina Natural Park are close by, and Lagos is about 40 minutes east. A car or a guided tour can be arranged through the Portugal Getaways team.

Autumn (September and October): 22°C to 27°C (72°F to 81°F), with the sea at its warmest. Sagres, on the Atlantic, is usually a little cooler and windier than the rest of the Algarve.
