Located just outside Portimão, Morgado Golf Course is set within a wide, peaceful estate of rolling countryside, offering a sense of space that immediately defines the round. It is one of the longest par-73 courses in the Algarve, designed to look demanding while remaining fair and enjoyable for a wide range of golfers.

The course is characterised by large, well-protected greens and deep fairway bunkers, placing a strong emphasis on positioning and putting rather than forced carries. As the architects intended, there are always multiple ways to approach each green, allowing golfers to choose safer or more aggressive lines depending on confidence and conditions. Wind can play a role on several holes, adding variety without making the course feel punitive.

Although often described as links-inspired due to its flat fairways and bunker styling, Morgado is set inland in parkland, with open views, subtle elevation changes, and several lakes integrated naturally into the layout. With five par 5s, generous landing areas, and excellent practice facilities — including a driving range, chipping area, and putting green — Morgado offers a relaxed yet rewarding round that suits both casual golfers and those looking to test their course management.

Its quality is well proven: Morgado hosted the Portuguese Open for three consecutive years (2017–2019), confirming its championship credentials while remaining accessible and enjoyable for everyday play.
