The Best-Seller Douro River Cruise by Portugal Getaways includes 6 nights: 2 nights in Porto before the cruise, 3 nights onboard the Spirit of Chartwell by Douro Azul sailing through the Alto Douro Wine Region, and 1 final night in Porto. Round-trip flights, airport transfers, daily breakfast in Porto, all meals onboard, a dinner and wine tasting at a local Quinta in Pinhao, a guided city tour of Lamego with tastings, and a Braga and Guimaraes Van Tour with lunch and two entrances.

All meals are included during the 3 nights onboard, with house wine and water served at meals. The cruise includes a welcome cocktail, a Portuguese folklore music show, a Chef culinary tasting, a Captain's gala dinner with a Vintage Port bottle-opening ceremony, and a themed Portuguese Night dinner. The ship has a main restaurant, a piano bar, a solarium lounge, and an open-air sun deck.

House wine and water are included with all meals onboard. Drinks ordered at the bar and selected premium wines are not included and are charged separately. The welcome cocktail on embarkation evening is included. 

The Spirit of Chartwell is a boutique river cruise ship operated by Douro Azul, one of Portugal's most established river cruise operators. The ship is widely known for having served as the Royal Barge during Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee Thames Pageant in 2012. Onboard spaces include the George Bradshaw Restaurant, the Somerset Maugham Piano Bar, the Charles Dickens Solarium, and a sun deck with views over the Douro Valley vineyards.

The included Porto experience is a Van Tour of Braga and Guimaraes with lunch and two entrances. This full-day tour from Porto visits two of northern Portugal's most historic cities, including Guimaraes, widely considered the birthplace of Portugal. Lunch and entrance tickets are included in the tour.

Yes. Daily breakfast is included during your 2 nights in Porto hotels and your 1 final night. All meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, are included during the 3 nights onboard the Spirit of Chartwell. Lunches and dinners in Porto outside the cruise are not included.

Yes. Transfers between your Porto hotel and the Spirit of Chartwell embarkation and disembarkation pier are included. Airport transfers in Porto are also included for your arrival and departure.
