The Portugal Getaways Royal Caribbean Cruise package includes round-trip flights, 1 night in a Lisbon hotel before boarding with airport to hotel and hotel to port transfers included, 9 nights on board the Mariner of the Seas with full board (breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day) and gratuities included, 1 night in a Barcelona hotel after disembarkation with port to hotel and hotel to airport transfers included, and all taxes and fees related to the booking. Drinks, Wi-Fi, and shore excursions are not included. Breakfast at both hotels is not included by default.

The Mariner of the Seas departs from Lisbon on day 1 at 5:00 PM and arrives in Barcelona on day 10 at 5:00 AM. The route covers 6 ports across 3 countries: Porto (Leixões), Portugal (arrive 8:00 AM, depart 5:00 PM). At sea on day 3. Madeira (Funchal), Portugal (arrive 8:00 AM, depart 6:00 PM). At sea on day 5. Casablanca, Morocco (arrive 8:00 AM, depart 6:00 PM). Tangier, Morocco (arrive 7:00 AM, depart 6:00 PM). Malaga, Spain (arrive 8:00 AM, depart 6:00 PM). At sea on day 9. The ship arrives in Barcelona on day 10 at 5:00 AM.

Full board means breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included every day during the 9-night cruise. The Mariner of the Seas has multiple included dining venues including the Main Dining Room, Windjammer Café, and Café Promenade open 24 hours. Specialty restaurants including Chops Grille, Izumi Hibachi & Sushi, Jamie's Italian by Jamie Oliver, and Johnny Rockets are available at an additional cost. Drinks are not included and are purchased separately. A drinks package can be added during the booking process. Gratuities are included in this package.

5-level theatre with original productions and live orchestra, ice skating rink, FlowRider surf simulator, rock climbing wall 40 feet above deck, The Perfect Storm waterslides, laser tag, and a Royal Promenade stretching the length of two football pitches with dining, entertainment, and shopping.

No. All shore excursions are optional and at additional cost. The Portugal Getaways team can recommend and arrange the right excursions at each port before you travel. You can also book independently at each port. Popular options include the historic center and wine caves of Porto, the botanical gardens and cable car of Funchal in Madeira, the Hassan II Mosque and medina of Casablanca, the Kasbah and medina of Tangier, and the Alcazaba fortress and old town of Malaga. Casablanca is Morocco's largest city and commercial capital. The Hassan II Mosque is one of the largest mosques in the world and one of the few open to non-Muslim visitors. The old medina and the Corniche waterfront are both worth the morning. Tangier is where Africa and Europe are 14 kilometers apart across the Strait of Gibraltar. The Kasbah, the medina, and the Caves of Hercules are the main draws. Morocco is a well-visited destination with a strong tourism infrastructure. Standard precautions apply in busy medina areas.

The package includes 1 night in Lisbon and 1 night in Barcelona, with a 4-star htel and upgrade to 5-star available in both cities. The package price varies depending on the hotel selected. 

In Lisbon, options include 5-star properties near Avenida da Liberdade and in the Belém neighborhood, and well-located 4-star hotels in the historic center.

In Barcelona, all properties are centrally located in the Gothic Quarter, Barceloneta waterfront, or Eixample, within easy reach of the cruise port. Exact options are shown when you click a date in the booking calendar. Contact the Portugal Getaways team to discuss preferences before booking.

All transfers are included and arranged by the Portugal Getaways team. On arrival in Lisbon, a transfer takes you from Lisbon Airport to your hotel. On boarding day, a transfer takes you from your Lisbon hotel to the cruise port. On disembarkation day in Barcelona, a transfer takes you from the cruise port to your Barcelona hotel. On departure day, a transfer takes you from your Barcelona hotel to Barcelona Airport. You do not need to arrange any transport at either end.

Yes, round-trip flights are included. You fly into Lisbon and return home from Barcelona. The package price varies depending on your departure airport. Other departure cities are available on request. Checked luggage is not always included and depends on the airline and fare type. You can confirm what is included and add luggage during the booking process. Seat selection and cabin class upgrades can be arranged as paid add-ons, subject to availability.

No. City taxes are not included and are paid directly at the Lisbon and Barcelona hotels.

US and Canadian passport holders do not need a visa for Portugal or Spain, both Schengen Area countries, for stays of up to 90 days. They also do not need a visa for Morocco for stays of up to 90 days. Your passport should be valid for at least six months beyond your return date. ETIAS, a pre-travel authorization for Schengen Area travel, is not yet mandatory but will apply to Portugal and Spain when it launches. Entry requirements are the traveler's responsibility and can change. For Morocco specifically, confirm the latest entry requirements before departure.

Yes. Both cities reward extra time. The Portugal Getaways team can add nights in Lisbon before boarding or in Barcelona after disembarkation. If you are travelling solo, the package price is based on two travelers sharing a cabin and hotel room. A single supplement applies for both hotel nights and the cruise cabin.
