The cruise starts and ends in Porto. You have a hotel night in the city before boarding and after you return, with time to see the Ribeira and the port wine cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia.

It is a round trip along the Douro River from Porto, with stops in Régua, Pinhão, Barca d’Alva, Vega Terrón near the Spanish border and Leverinho, before sailing back to Porto.

Full board is included: buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner with live cooking stations. The Premium All-Inclusive package covers tea, coffee and coffee specialties, soft drinks, sparkling wine, a selection of beer and wine, cocktails and long drinks during bar opening hours.

Two excursions are included: a dinner at Quinta da Avessada and a port wine tasting at Quinta da Roêda. You can add optional excursions on board, such as historic villages or a day in Salamanca, Spain.

The A-ROSA ALVA is a modern river ship for about 126 guests, so it never feels crowded. Cabins face outward with river views, and there are suites with balconies. On board you will find a sun deck with a heated pool, a panorama lounge, a spa and a fitness area.
