Pestana Kruger Lodge is 700 meters from the Malelane Gate of the Kruger National Park and is the ideal place to visit and use as a relaxing starting point to your visits to the Park. The Lodge is set amongst wonderful gardens and offers a fantastic view over the Crocodile River where hippos, crocodiles and other wildlife abound.
The Kruger National Park has almost 2000 km of roads and 6 permanent rivers that cross the savannah within the park. Daily safaris can be organized from the Lodge into this marvelous sanctuary. It is the habitat of countless species, and tourists here will have the ideal opportunity to observe at close quarters the “Big 5 of Africa” – the lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros, not to mention 336 types of trees, 49 species of fish, 114 types of reptiles, 507 species of birds, and innumerable giraffe, monkeys, zebras, and antelopes.

Offering the services of a modern 4-star hotel, it can be your base to visit the Kruger National Park and all the Mpumalanga wonders, inviting you to a self-drive or guided tour along our famous Panorama Route, where you have to experience Graskop, Pilgrim's Rest, God's Window or Blyde River Canyon.
The Pestana Kruger Lodge is situated on the closest entry from Johannesburg to the Kruger Park and can easily be reached by car, The Oliver Tambo International Airport is an option by car using the N4 which covers South Africa and Mozambique. From Maputo in a 2-hour drive (EN5/MR3), or reached by plane using the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport that is 45 minutes away from the lodge. Daily transfers to the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport or across the border to the Pestana Rovuma Hotel in Maputo are available at a preferred rate.
